Our Experiences

Young adults often face unique and formidable challenges when transitioning to independent living, which can be a daunting process.

Young Achievers has extensive experience supporting this population as they navigate the complex path to self-sufficiency and learn to thrive on their own. Through personalized guidance, dedicated mentorship, and skill-building programs tailored to their individual needs, we empower young adults to confidently manage their finances, develop essential life skills, find stable housing, and build fulfilling, meaningful lives on their own terms.

By fostering a supportive community and providing valuable resources, we equip these young individuals with the tools they need to overcome obstacles and achieve their personal and professional goals, paving the way for a successful, independent future.

Unwavering commitment to the young people in their homes

Hayley and the Young Achiever’s Team have consistently demonstrated their unwavering commitment to the young people in their homes. Their nurturing approach beautifully balances their support  to ensure the young people’s safety, while promoting their independence and empowering young people to take responsibility for their own lives as they transition in to adulthood. As a social worker, there isn’t a semi-independent placement I would trust more to promote the best possible outcomes for young people.

Genuine care and dedication to the young people placed with her

I would like to highlight that Hayley, the manager, consistently goes above and beyond her role. She shows genuine care and dedication to the young people placed with her. In particular, she has maintained a positive relationship with our team and continues to offer support when the young person we placed chooses to engage. This ongoing connection is a testament to her commitment and the strong, trusting relationships she builds.

Thank you staff – let these memories remind you

Thank you staff, let these memories remind you that you’re special through and through and thought about so warmly and so very often too!

You’re helpful and supportive in a way that warms the heart. Whatever happens you are there to play your thoughtful part.

Thank you for your kindness which can never be replaced and for your understanding and the difference it made.

Thanks for always listening to me, supporting me and encouraging me. Thinking about the past few days, week and months and having to deal with my missing episodes have not been easy on you all but yet still the staff at Highweek house continued to come to work and support all of us who live here.

We don’t know what life is like for you all when you leave here and go back to your family or your house. I would just like to say thank you all and let you know that all your hard work and support is very much appreciated.

I don’t say it enough to you but thank you all for helping me to get where I am today. I will miss you all, you are a family to me.
